The song was originally titled “Death” by The Rev. Sullivan gave the piece to lead singer M. Shadows, and three days later, he was found dead in his apartment. In an autopsy, the cops ruled out foul play. Shadows later went back in to add revisions and the song was completed, featuring both his and Sullivan’s vocals. During the production of the song “Fiction,” James Owen The Rev Sullivan wrote in the song “I know you’ll find your own way when I’m not with you”, it was the last lyrics he ever wrote. He, unfortunately, did die three days later. The album and the song “So Far Away” later went on to be released as a tribute to the amazing drummer.
